“And the Oscar Goes To… Mark Hamill”
Next year’s Oscars buzz already started. Just few days after the 89th Academy awards Ceremony, many websites and newspapers are making lists for the most anticipated movies, promising performances, and filmmakers to look for this year. Lately, J. J. Abrams, ‘Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi’ Producer, said that Mark Hamill’s performance is Oscar-Worthy.

Star Wars franchise had 27 nominations and 7 wins, but just for technical categories. In the acting categories, Star Wars saga has one single nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, for Sir Alec Guinness in the role of Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: A New Hope.
J. J. Abrams is one of the few people who have the footage of the new chapter Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi. And NY Daily News reported that the producer said in a recent discussion they had in Los Angeles that Mark Hamill should win an Academy Award for his performance in the movie.
J. J. Abrams said:
“I think we are all going to be very upset if he does not win an Oscar, and no one more upset than Mark.”
