“The Post: Meryl Streep with Tom Hanks for the first time”

The political drama The Post is the new project for the three times Academy Award winner, director and producer Steven Spielberg. This time he joins forces with the two Academy Award winner Tom Hanks, and the Three Academy Award winner Meryl Streep in the leading roles.

The movie focuses on the study about the United States’ role in the Vietnam War, the Pentagon Papers associated to it, and The Washington Post involvement in publishing the study papers.

Steven Spielberg will be directing the movie from Liz Hannah’s script and Tom Hanks will play The Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee and Meryl Streep as publisher Kay Graham.

Spielberg worked before with Meryl Streep on ‘Artificial Intelligence: AI’ in 2001, and he had many collaborations with Tom Hanks, Catch Me If You Can, The Terminal, and Bridge of Spies. ‘The Post’ will be the first time for Hanks and Streep to share the big screen.
